It’s a testament to the magnificence of Mamoru Oshii’s film Avalon released in 2001 that it’s still being viewed with fascination, thought and debate about the many aspects that this film leaves the viewer to ponder.
Unlike the film this website, first created in 2002, was showing its age and I’ve taken the decision to throw away the mostly hand-tuned HTML and convert it to a WordPress site which will make future maintenance much easier. Please note that the site URLs will now appear as ninesisters.me.uk which was previously one of the site’s aliases.
Of necessity the site structure is going to change somewhat, but everything from the original site will still be here.
While I’ve largely stopped trying to keep track of CD, DVD or Bluray releases, the movie is still provoking comment and I intend to continue maintaining those areas whilst the others are now somewhat out of date.
Note that I haven’t checked the various external links. There’s a very good chance that most of these are now broken – follow them with caution!
